Ackee dispute ends in death
A man accused of chopping and killing another as a result of a dispute over ackees was ordered further remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Charged with murder is Rosyaide Cunningham.
Allegations are that on the day of the incident, Cunningham and the now deceased, following a brief dispute over ackees, got into an altercation that turned physical.
During the tussle, it is believed that a machete was used to chop the now deceased all over his body, resulting in his death. Cunningham was subsequently arrested and charged.
In court, Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered the accused man further remanded until March 22, pending a mention hearing. A fingerprint order was also made against him.
