Peaceful Portland rocked by crime

Detectives from the Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) in Port Antonio have revealed the identity of a man, whose bullet-riddled body was found along the Snow Hill main road yesterday.

He is Daniel McCarthy, 24, otherwise called Not Nice of a Snow Hill address.

According to the police, residents stumbled upon McCarthy body at approximately 1:30 a.m. along the roadway and alerted them. The police said that upon their arrival McCarthy was seen lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile, the Portland police are investigating three other serious crimes committed in the parish Wednesday night, one of which is a case of rape.
