Woman taken to court for Brazilian weave

December 22, 2017

One resident of Denham Town, Kingston, has been accused of stealing three packs of Brazilian weaves from her friend's house, despite the community being saturated with police and soldiers.

Shakera Dawes was charged with simple larceny when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court yesterday.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is reported that on December 10, Dawes was seen wearing Brazilian weaves, which belonged to one of her friends who had loan her the keys to her house.

The policeman, who is assigned to the case, said that the three packs of weaves were at the house and no one else had access to the premises.

He said Dawes claimed that she had purchased the weaves herself but would not produce a receipt for the products. She is to return to court on January 24 for trial.
