Five community roads in Hanover Western have been identified for repairs and will be allocated $2 million each to fund programmed remedial work.

The roads are Clinic Hill/Russell Lane, Green Island to Prospect Square, Green Island to Grange, Lucea to Dundee Pen and Kendal to Cessnock. In her contribution to the 2024/25 State of the Constituency Debate in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Tamika Davis, the constituency's member of parliament, welcomed work to be carried out under the Government's Shared Prosperity through Accelerated Improvement to our Road Network (SPARK) Programme. She noted that work under the SPARK Programme will be complemented by the Government's Relief Emergency Assistance and Community Help Programme. Davis also said several roads have been repaired and rehabilitated.

"Approximately one kilometre of roadway from Middlesex to McLaren Gate was rehabilitated at a cost of $10 million. One kilometre of roadway was also done on the Riley to Bushmouth corridor... and was rehabilitated at a cost of $16 million," she added. The Damally Road was also rehabilitated and patching done through the Constituency Development Fund on the Cave Valley, Mount Peace and Kew roads.
