Afraid my future husband can’t get it up
Dear Pastor,
I am about to be married. But I am concerned because my fiance is suffering from diabetes.
I understand that diabetes can cause a man to have problems getting a full erection. I am really concerned about that. I would love to enjoy full sexual satisfaction from my future husband. Can you tell me what I should do, or what can he do?
A.F.
Dear A.F.,
Diabetes is indeed a disease, but it is one that can be controlled. Many men who have suffered from this disease have been able to continue having sexual intercourse by following the advice of their doctor.
The wives of these men have to play a great part in stimulating them and helping to bring them to sexual satisfaction. As a spouse, you have to change your partner's diet and insist that he follows the diet that his doctor has set out for him. He will do very well if he learns to not just eat and drink what he feels like.
Your fiance and you should spend time to talk to his urologist and to learn how to function. There are so many techniques that he can develop, and that you can use as his partner, that would make him feel that he is a real man. So do not think that everything is lost if your future husband is diabetic.
