Police kill alleged murderer in Ocho Rios

Police use yellow tape to block off the entrance to the Kingston Mall in downtown Kingston during their investigation into a murder-suicide in 2016. A security guard had reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend at the scene before killing himself.

The Ocho Rios police and the Independent Commission of Investigations have launched separate investigations after the police shot and killed a man who killed a businessman late yesterday evening.

Reports from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are that 28 year-old Kayson Walker, a food vendor, stabbed and killed 43-year old Antonio Bryan, a businessman from Carib Heights, Ocho Rios. 

Bryan was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the CCU, there was a confrontation between the police and Walker after the police were summoned.

Walker was shot during the tussle. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
