Shizzle Sherlock counteracts scamming song
Shizzle Sherlock has created controversy in dancehall circles recently with the release of his song 'Think a Chattingz', which some say is a diss song of Xklusive's 'Big Money Popping' (Scammer dem deh yah)".
The scammer song, which raised the popularity of the St Ann-born artiste, had many 'forwards' in dancehall circles during its reign as one of the most popular songs in recent times.
Think a Chattingz is a combination between Shizzle and Iceberg.
The track is on the Chattingz rhythm and is produced by Dre Swade.
Shizzle denied firing any lyrical shots at any particularly artiste. He said he is showing his fans a different side of him.
An excerpt of the song said: "Dem seh big money popping all now me nuh seeit ... me nuh see nuh Benz me nuh see nuh Bimma jeep ... what kinda money u a talk bout if a money you a mek shut your (expletive) mouth."
"The song a bun up road yah now, all the street a say Think a Chattingz," said Shizzle.
Chattingz means 'actions outdo words', and was originally just a slang that came to life in Portmore by the artiste.
Within a month, people started to gravitate to the slang, and it swamped the streets in early November.
Shizzle was booked for a show in Clarendon where he linked with Iceberg, and the song was voiced the following day.
The song was released on November 19 and took off as soon as it was uploaded to social media.
Shizzle said hundreds of people reposted the promo video, and also recorded videos of themselves singing the song.
