Females to bring A-game to modelling contest

A number of women are expected to bring their A-game as they compete in a contest being held by La Model Hub in July.

The event will feature 35 contestants vying for the title Miss Summer Face Hot Summer Body and a cash prize of $100,000

However, at the launch, Ken Windross of All One Source Inc., distributors of the high-end liquor Esfir Vodka, requested that the organisers double the prize money to $200,000 for the winner.

While at the launch, the contestants were told that the competition is not all about beauty and physique, as there is also an educational aspect.

"This is more of a mini launch. I just wanted to meet some of the contestants that have shown their desire to enter the contest by providing photos and a portfolio of themselves," said Kevin Arthur Lee Thompson, the creator of La Model Hub.

Thompson, who is also the founder and CEO of La Face Models that was formed in Mandeville, Manchester, in 1999 and now based in Florida, USA, added that: "We had only eight of the 35 contestants at the launch, as the contestants in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay weren't able to attend, [but] we will surely see them at the official launch in June at a date and venue to be announced shortly"

The competition will come to a close on July 28 at a pool party to be held at the Constant Spring Golf Club in St Andrew.
