International artiste Sean Kingston and dancehall hottie Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Barrett were among the patrons who rang in the new year at The Event, a posh event that was held at the picturesque Hope Gardens in St Andrew.

"It was a surprise to have the artiste present, one which we truly appreciate, as it proves to use the testament of our event and the far reach it has. we are honoured they choose to ring in their new year with us," Andrew Ellis, a promoter for The Estate, said.

Sean Kingston, the Beautiful Girls singer, was born in Jamaica. Although he resides in the United States, he maintains close ties with the island.

"Could be anywhere in the world but I rather be here in my beautiful country Jamaica. New year, new vibes, spread love and positivity," he posted on Instagram.

Ellis, commenting on his party, said it was clear that the patrons appreciated it.

"We are always looking for ways to improve our product and the experience our valued patrons," he said.

Mona resident Diandra, one of the patrons, told The STAR that "It's quite fitting to end the year, in this atmosphere, among friends.

"The ambiance is something to savour, and the liquor and the food just tatantilise my taste buds," she said.
