Armanii closes Reggae Sumfest debut with ‘song of the summer’

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Armanii closed off an electrifying performance during night one of Reggae Sumfest with his hit single Fiesta, which he is calling the "song of the summer".

The occasion also served as the entertainer's first time performing at the popular reggae-dancehall show. He commemorated the moment by recalling where he was this time last year.

"Yow Montego Bay, last year we did inna the crowd! Now we deh pan di stage," he said.

Armanii also used the opportunity to address comments in the entertainment space which suggested his catalogue was not extensive.

"Dem seh we nah no song Sumfest. And, some seh wi song nuh big enough. Dem seh wi need fi find something else, but wi a drop it pan dem same way," the entertainer said.

Performing some of his fan-favorite hits like How You Feel?, Dunce Barbie and Wild and Wicked, Armanii had the audience singing along to every word.

Reggae Sumfest, currently underway in Montego Bay, St James, is marking its 31st anniversary.
