Murderer on the loose

The St Catherine South police have yet to make a breakthrough in the murder of a motorcyclist in Watson Grove, Portmore, last week.

Dead is Dwayne Campbell, a 30-year-old labourer from Watson Grove.

"We have yet to make an arrest in the murder, but we are following strong leads and is on the verge of closing the matter," a senior investigator told THE STAR.

He said that the deceased had recently relocated to the Portmore community when the incident occurred.

Reports are that on Friday, Campbell drove home and was parking his motor cycle when he was pounced upon by a man who hit him on his head with a piece of plank. He died as a result of injuries received.

The attacker also stole the Honda motor cycle valued at $200,000 and escaped.
