Posters, brochures presented in Heritage Week
October 22, 2015
A student of the Mercury Path Finder's school in St Mary receives a poster with information on the Blue and John Crow Mountains from the Minister of Youth and Culture, the Hon Lisa Hanna, during the National Heritage Week Church Service, held at the New Testament Assembly in Hope Bay, Portland, recently. This presentation of World Heritage posters and brochures to students of local schools was extension of the wider public education effort to sensitise Jamaicans about the significance of the world heritage inscription of the Blue and John Crow Mountains. The National Heritage Week Church Service is organised by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission annually to mark the beginning of the Heritage Week Celebrations.
