The International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC), in partnership with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), and the Ministry of Education (MOE), yesterday commenced the training of 41 teachers, including deans of discipline, guidance counsellors and other members of the MOE in chaplaincy services.

The course, which will last three days, consists of 12 modules designed to build the capacity of school managers and other stakeholders within the education system to interface with the chaplaincy system. This course is only offered once per year in the United States of America. Jamaica is the only country outside the US territory that does this type of training.
