Taxi driver killed in May Pen

A 53-year-old taxi operator of a Bushy Park address in May Pen, Clarendon, was stabbed to death yesterday morning by an assailant who was posing as a passenger.

According to a police report, taxi operator Carlton Muschette was driving his Toyota motor car along Manchester Avenue about 7 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked and stabbed several times by a teenage male, who then took control of the motor car and attempted to flee the scene.

The police also reported that a motorist who witnessed the gruesome incident gave chase, and in a bid to escape, the alleged killer crashed the car in the West Park area. The teenager was later held and handed over to the police by

residents.

"Information is still sketchy, but we know that the deceased is 53-year-old taxi operator Carlton Muschette of a Bushy Park address, while the suspect is a teenager reportedly from the Bucknor area of May Pen," an investigator at the crime scene said.

Irate onlookers also lamented that Muschette's killer should be given a treatment similar to that which he gave Muschette.

"Look how the little boy come kill the big man, and gone a prison gone eat taxpayers' money. A dead him should a dead too," grumbled onlookers at yesterday morning's crime scene.
