Man killed in May Pen town centre
Homicide investigators attached to the May Pen Police Station are still trying to ascertain the identity of a man who was shot dead near the clock in the town centre just after 4:00 Wednesday morning.
According to a report from the station's homicide investigation unit, loud explosions was heard in the town centre and when the police went to investigate, a male was found suffering from what appears to be gunshots wounds.
The cop reported that the injured man was rushed to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead by an on-duty doctor.
"We (investigator) are still investigating this incident and are yet to determine who the victim is at this time," an investigator at the May Pen CIB told The STAR.
This morning's murder is second incident to occurred in that area within the last two weeks. Last week 23-year-old Junior Lampard was shot and killed mere meters from the scene of this morning's incident.
