'Duppy Film' spotted in St Thomas? - Adams believes wanted man could be caught with better tactics

Retired cop Reneto Adams believes said Jamaica's most wanted man, Marlon 'Duppy Film' Perry, remains elusive because "yuh cyah look fi duppy a day you have to find him when him a walk." His statement come after residents claimed Perry was spotted in Yallahs, St Thomas, a few weeks ago.

"He remains elusive because they are not looking for him," Adams explained. "When you searching for somebody you have got to have a comprehensive plan starting from A to Z."

TRIGGER MAN

A resident of the community of Hampstead in Yallahs told THE STAR that Perry has visited the community several times since the Jamaica Constabulary Force billed him as the most wanted man in Jamaica.

"Up to two weeks [three weeks now] a go mi see dem man deh," the resident said.

In December 2015, it is believed that Perry was the trigger man behind the brutal slaying of two police personnel in Yallahs. He is also wanted for other murders.

Adams believes that Perry could be captured if the police had deployed the right tactics. "Criminology tells you that there are three things criminals have to do. They have to eat, sleep and have sex. And the police must find out where he is doing those three things in order to find him," Adams explained.

But head of the police's Corporate Communications Unit, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, is confident that Perry will be captured.

"We have done a lot of work and used a lot of resources in trying to find him, but we are not stopping because we need to catch him and he will be caught," Lindsay said.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Beau Rigabi, who is in charge of the St Thomas Police Division, told THE STAR that the hunt for Perry still remains the number one focus for his division.
