Doctored nude photos used to extort female

June 25, 2018

A woman who allegedly demanded $30,000 so that she would not release doctored nude photos of another female was given a new court date when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court last Friday.

Charged with extortion and breaches of the Cybercrimes Act is 20-year-old Trudy-Ann Knibb.

She did not enter a plea because her attorney was not present and requested a new mention date.

Allegations are that the accused sent the doctored nude photos of the complainant to her cell phone, via WhatsApp, and threatened to publish the images on the Internet.

It is alleged that the accused altered the photos by placing the complainant's head on nude bodies.

Knibb allegedly threatened the 17-year-old complainant on February 27 to pay $30,000 or else she would be publicly humiliated.

THE STAR understands that the complainant sent $15,000 to the accused on May 26.

Knibb was then held and charged.

She is to return to court on June 27.
