Some of the biggest names in international gospel music will rock the Clarendon College campus in a day and night musical extravaganza dubbed 'Family Fiesta and Funday', which will be held on Easter Monday in Chapelton, Clarendon.

Among the artistes booked for the musical extravaganza are Minister Goddy-Goody, Kevin Downswell, Sandra Brooks, Jabez, Jody Kay James, Dian Barnett, Rev Glen Graham, Lady 'B' Pye from the United States, Sugar Belly, and Sister Marie. A high school choir competition is also part of the package.

According to the organiser of the concert, Pastor Rollington Morgan, the Love FM-sponsored event will be broadcast live on that station, while hosting duties will be done by Markland 'Action' Edwards, Nadine Blair and Uncle Wayne G from the United States.

"We have managed to assemble some of the biggest names in the music business for the Easter Monday concert here in Chapelton. And as it is dubbed, the event is a family affair for all," Morgan said.

"We will start the day with fun and games for the kids and bounce-about, merry-go-round, etc. And also, free medical checks for patrons before we blast off the main event."

He noted that the concert will benefit the teaching ministry of Pastor Hyacinth Edwards' Christ Educational Ministry (CEM).

Pastor Edwards has been ministering the Salem United Church for the past 20 years, and 19 of those years as the chaplain of Clarendon College.
