Dancehall artiste Pamputtae says she has crossed Ghetto Splash off the list of events she will be supporting in the future.

This, after the entertainer claims she was unfairly treated by the event’s organisers as well as a fellow dancehall entertainer when she turned up at the annual event on Tuesday night.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the Sticky Whine singer named Beenie Man as the person at the root of her demise at Ghetto Splash.

According to Pamputtae, Beenie Man jumped a list of artiste scheduled to perform before him, including her, resulting in her having to cut her set short.

“My road manager check the schedule and see a who next fi perform. Dat a when Beenie Man just a come a di venue. Dem say after Assassin a me, den when me go deh and ready fi work, the woman (one of the stage managers) a say, 'No, a Beenie fi perform', and Beenie Man deh behind a me a tell dem nuh fi gimme di mic when him know say a never fi him time fi work because him just come,” she lamented.

“Memba Beenie Man a bigger artiste fi me, enuh, so why him woulda wah work before me? Wah more Beenie Man can do? Him career buck and stop.”

She went on to say that she is so hurt by what transpired that even with an apology, she doesn’t think she will ever perform at Ghetto Splash again.

“Him (Jamie) call me and apologise and me accept it, but me nah perform deh again. Me a di only female artiste weh people really a look forward to weh show up, and me hurt say dem never wah me fi work,” she said. “A free show and a my money spend, not even water me nuh get a dem venue. Me never mus haffi go.”

Having caught wind of Pamputtae’s rants on social media, Beenie Man sought to set the records straight on what transpired at Ghetto Splash.

In a video now circulating on YouTube, the entertainer said his performance did not stop Pamputtae from touching the stage and expressed that Pamputtae is only upset because the crowd was not receptive of her performance.

“I reach there (Ghetto Splash) at 3 sup'm. I supposed to perform at 4 o'clock to perform till 5 o clock because I book an hour for myself,” he explained. “At the time Pamputtae decide say is fi her time to work. She did work. She did do her thing. The people wasn’t into her thing, so what she’s doing is because her thing never work.”

Beenie Man added that there were discussions between him and Pamputtae backstage where she asked for the chance to work before him and he obliged, so he doesn’t understand why she would come out tarnishing his name. He even dubbed her ungrateful.

Pamputtae, however, denied having any conversation with Beenie Man prior to her taking the stage, labelling the entertainer a liar.

“Me always hear dem say Beenie Man is a likkle p...y, but me just a experience it fi myself,” she said. “Beenie Man a make video and a say me ungrateful. Weh Beenie Man ever do fi me fi me ungrateful? Beenie Man a big time liad. If him talk 100 tings, 99 a lie and one a true,” Pamputtae said.

She went on to say that she hopes he will change his conniving ways soon and allow other artistes to shine.

“Him inna di business long time. Him can give somebody a chance, and memba say him a nuh di only artiste. Him need fi give everybody respect because rain nuh fall pan one man housetop. Today fi you, and tomorrow fi me,” she said.
