In a May 3 interview with THE STAR, A'mari DJ Mona Lisa shared that her weight was down to 135 pounds.

Since then, the social media influencer has dropped another 10 pounds, and while her fans are shocked at her skinniness, she is proclaiming joy and confidence.

"Oh my!" was her response to questions from THE WEEKEND STAR about the concern being shown by some of her most ardent fans, whose comments note that "your nails are bigger than you" and "they said you disappearing".

A'mari noted that she has been reaping immense benefits as an influencer since her dramatic change and insisted that her health is great.

"I have gained more views and followers since losing the pounds. I just got notification that I got 259,000 views on one video," A'mari declared.

Without a care in the world, A'mari has been posing up on Instagram, dressing her 5' 11" frame in tiny cheerleader skirts, paired with crop tops and knee high boots, or jogging with cameras in tow.

"It's a lifetime commitment, because you have to be committed to not regaining the weight. You have to listen to your body ... not overeating ... like loving yourself more and having better health. It all starts in the mind. Sometimes something dramatic has to happen for you to decide this is ... I've had enough. The more you lose weight is the more you gain monetary wise and financially," she said

A'mari, however, would much prefer if the focus is shifted from the constant weight loss talk and instead be placed on her musical career. She had declared that 2023 was her year, but said that she has had some setbacks, including a bad experience with a producer.

The artiste shared that she is taking the time to educate herself even more on copyright laws and the management of one's music catalogue.

"I think that these things should be taught in schools in Jamaica because there is so much talent here and so many of the youngsters are pursuing a music career. Copyright as it relates to music should be a part of the school curriculum," A'mari said.
