Alkaline’s manager earns master’s degree
Artiste manager Kereena Beckford has added another remarkable achievement to her portfolio after she recently graduated with a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in Florida.
Beckford, the manager for dancehall star Alkaline, already holds a Bachelor of Science from the LA Film School. Her master's degree, focusing on sports management, gives her cutting-edge insights that will bolster her influence across both the entertainment and sports industries.
"I believe in the power of education - not only the practical aspects of entertainment but also the theoretical understanding that drives the industry forward," Beckford said.
"Reggae and dancehall music thrive in a global industry, and to compete at that level, you need to understand the science behind the business. I aim to keep pushing boundaries and taking the industry to new heights," Beckford added.
With her recent induction into the 2024-2025 Recording Academy GRAMMY U mentorship programme, Beckford is poised to make an even greater impact. The GRAMMY U connects emerging industry talents, offering networking and insider opportunities, an ideal match for Beckford's vision and influence.
In addition to guiding Alkaline to success, Beckford is the founder of Xclusive Management and New Era Production and architect behind the renowned New Rules Festival.
