Ding Dong the face of JPS holiday campaign
Dancehall sensation Ding Dong has been unveiled as the official ambassador for the Jamaica Public Service's (JPS) Powering APPiness Christmas campaign.
The promotion, which runs from November 15 until December 27, will give customers an opportunity to win a share of more than $2 million in bill credit when they download and use the MyJPS Mobile App. Ding Dong shared that he is excited about the partnership.
"It was an easy yes for me to be part of this campaign. The MyJPS Mobile App is a game changer. It is simple and very easy to use," said the dancehall hitmaker.
Reshima Kelly Williams, brand marketing manager at JPS, said the company's goal with the campaign is to empower customers to take control of their energy usage while bringing a festive spirit to the holiday season.
"The MyJPS Mobile App is designed to make energy management easy and accessible, with the option to view your bill, set a budget, and track your usage. That's all customers have to do to be eligible to win," she said.
The campaign will feature the Powering APPiness Roadshow, with stops in St Thomas on December 19 and Montego Bay, St James, on December 21. These events will include app demos, games and a special live performance on the 21st.
"The main prize for the Powering APPiness campaign will see 101 customers who utilise the app to view their bill, set a budget and track their usage receiving $20,000 each towards their bills. On the other hand, the roadshows will give customers opportunities to win cool, techy prizes and other JPS-branded tokens," Kelly Williams said.
Winners will be randomly selected weekly and contacted from the official JPS Customer Care line - 876-618-0253. Eligible winners must have a JPS account in their names. To claim their prize, winners will be required to visit the JPS Office, sign a redemption form and participate in a photo opportunity.
