Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas - Elephant Man and Busy Signal do fiery remake of holiday classic
It's Christmas time again and dancehall legends Elephant Man and Busy Signal have teamed up for a sizzling holiday banger, ' Party Anthem 2.0', a fiery remake of Carla Thomas' R&B classic, 'Gee Whiz', 'It's Christmas'.
"It is the song for the December," Elephant Man said of the track that was released with a high-energy video last weekend.
"We plan to perform it on one of these shows in December, we ah go shell it live," promised Elephant Man, teasing fans with an electrifying live performance on the horizon.
The visuals are already racking up thousands of views, and the buzz has been absolutely insane. Elephant Man couldn't be happier with the response from fans and industry insiders alike.
"The reception so far has been crazy. All the disc jockeys, soundmen, everybody keep asking me about the song. It's just been a good energy. Good to go," he exclaimed, clearly thrilled with the song's success.
Elephant Man realized that the reggae and dancehall scene had been missing some festive cheer and decided to fill that gap with a fresh spin on a Christmas classic.
"I was in New York City and watching the vibes in the club and realised that ah long time we, the entertainers dem nah give the people dem no Xmas carol. So I said I am going to do a 'party Xmas carol', so mi shout Busy, him hear the concept and love it. So me and Busy record it and shoot the video same time, and the ting up," he shared, revealing how the holiday magic came together.

With a career that dates back to the 1990s as a member of the Scare Dem Crew, Elephant Man launched a solo career that skyrocketed him to stardom with electrifying performances, unforgettable hits like Pon De River, Gully Creepa, Log On, and Nuh Linga, and collaborations with global superstars like Wyclef Jean, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, and Kat DeLuna.
