STAR of the Month Razor B has already revealed himself as a foodie and has shown that he is very useful in the kitchen. In fact, the entertainer studied culinary arts in Canada. And although he answered the call to do music, the artiste has not given up his passion for food or his love for cooking.

“I love cooking. I got my start from my mother, she was my first teacher,” he told THE WEEKEND STAR. “Then I went off to college in Canada, and a lot of people don’t know this, but I studied the culinary arts there. So not to toot my own horn or anything, but I know my way around the kitchen.” It is this love for food that sparked Razor B’s plans to eventually start a chain of restaurants.

“My love for food and cooking sparked an idea and I hope to bring it to life over the next few years. I want to start a chain of restaurants here in Jamaica, you know, to help employ a few persons and contribute to the country in other ways, not just with music,” he said.

Although his plans are still in the idea phase, Razor B says his restaurants will be unique and will showcase his style as both an entertainer and a chef. “The menu will be a fusion of Jamaican food, as well as dishes from North America. I won’t necessarily cook, but I will be setting the menu and writing the recipes,” he said. “It will be a nice place where people can come and chill. The food will be at reasonable prices and the vibe will be great. I’m planning on having great music from Jazz to reggae to R&B. Guests will come for the food, but they will leave with an awesome experience.”

Emphasising his love for his fans, Razor B promised that when his restaurants finally open across the island, he will not be one of those celebrities who do not show up at their own establishments. “Of course I can’t be there everyday, but I will be there for sure. People will get a chance to see me every now and then,” he told THE WEEKEND STAR.
