While Jamaica prepares for the expected impact of Hurricane Matthew, the United States Embassy in St Andrew says it will close its doors on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the embassy, it will be closed for routine consular services on those two days. This means that visa interviews will not be conducted and routine American Citizen Services appointments will not be kept on those days.

Persons who have nonimmigrant visa interviews on Monday and Tuesday are being asked to reschedule their appointments by visiting ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/niv. However, applicants with immigrant visa appointments will be contacted by the embassy’s consular section and informed of their new appointment date.
