The security forces are maintaining a close watch on sections of West Kingston following the murder of the son of businessman Justin Ogilvie on Monday at a Corporate Area service station.

The deceased, 32-year-old Keifa Ogilvie, was killed while sitting on a motorcycle at a service station.

Though the incident did not take place in West Kingston, the senior Ogilvie, a long-time associate of incarcerated Tivoli Gardens area leader, Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, has ties to the area.

Information reaching THE STAR is that about 9:45 p.m., Ogilvie drove up to the service station on a Honda motorcycle.

He was accompanied by a female.

Our news team gathered that Ogilvie parked the motorcycle, waiting for the woman who went to make a purchase inside the service station.

Two gunmen then approached and opened fire hitting him several times before escaping.

He was taken to the Kingston Public hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Corporate Communications Unit confirmed reports of the murder and told THE STAR that the police have increased their presence in adjoining West Kingston communities.

Investigations are ongoing.
