20-y-o washed away in gully in Arnett Gardens

A 20-year-old man known as ‘Lala’ was washed away by floodwaters this afternoon in a gully in the community of Havanna, Arnett Gardens, St Andrew.

Jamaica is currently being impacted by Hurricane Beryl, which has brought heavy rains and strong winds.

A search is now under way by members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade and the Jamaica Defence Force to locate him.

Details of the incident are not known at this time.
