Farmer ‘Brown Chop’ charged with rape
A 31-year-old Kingston farmer whose name is Jamar Belnavis, otherwise called 'Brown Chop', is to appear in the St Mary Parish Court on Thursday for the rape of a woman in her home in 2023.
He is charged with possession of prohibited weapon, assault at common law, using a firearm to commit a schedule offence and rape.
Reports from the Port Maria Police are that sometime in 2023 a woman was at home in Carron Hall district, St Mary, when Belnavis entered through a window.

The charges were subsequently laid against him after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
