#CHAMPS2024 | KC’s Smith leads Class Two boys’ 400m qualifiers

Kingston College's Markel Smith advanced in the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships' Class Two boys' 400 metres as the fastest qualifier.

Competing today at the National Stadium in heat six, Smith clocked 48.89 seconds to finish ahead of Port Antonio High's Dantae Simpson and Fogo Road High's Denzel Carter.

Smith, Foga Road's Paul Henry and Demarco Bennett of Excelsior are the fastest qualifiers.

Calabar's Nickecoy Bramwell, among the favourites to capture the event, is also safely through as he won heat one in 50.09 seconds.
