God has healed me of my trauma
Dear Pastor,
I am writing to follow up on a letter I sent to you in 2018, in which I shared the traumatic experience of being raped by my two brothers.
I am thrilled to share with you that I have overcome those experiences. Now, at the age of 27, I am not only healed, but I have also thrived. I have served in numerous roles, including customer service representative, assistant administration, assistant nurse, and security officer, and I have earned a diploma in supervisory management. I am proud to say that I am in a secure supervisory position.
On a personal note, I am engaged to a wonderful, hard-working young man who supports me and my dreams. We are looking forward to building a life together. I am grateful for your prayers and support throughout my journey. Your guidance and care have made a significant impact on my life. Thank you for being a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration.
A.C.
Dear A.C.,
I thank you for taking the time to write to inform me that you have made great progress from the time we met to the present.
I thank the Lord for you. I know the good Lord helped me to assist you. But you have done well, because you were determined to do well and not allow what your brothers did to you to totally destroy you. You are a young woman who has strong faith in God, and it was to Him you look for strength.
You can never forget the ordeal you went through with your brothers, but you have learnt to put it behind you. Let God be praised. God is able to help you to forgive them. They can never be trusted. I am very pleased to hear that you are now engaged to a wonderful man. He is giving you the moral support that you need.
I trust that God will provide the financial support that you need to buy or build a house together. Learn to pray with your fiance. Both of you should attend church together. Again, I thank you for informing me of your progress. I will continue to pray for you. Feel free to write to me again.
