Mandeville-born dancehall artiste Emanuel Wung believes that one of the major problems fuelling violence in the society is the reaction of individuals to perceived betrayal at the hands of fake friends.

"The problem is largely money and greed because sometimes the plastic people are attracted to people who are more successful than they are, but they are not true friends. They come around for the fame, the hype; is just a friendship outta convenience and freeloading. Then when everything crash, there is animosity because of all the pretending. That is why I wrote Hennessy Friends because that describes friends who are there just for one thing, the hype, the partying and the money," Wung said.

Wung is banking on making a major breakthrough with the single.

"The song is picking up. The other day, I went to a party and when it played, the place erupt, four corner forward ... the song really connect with people. The way the forward big, all me frighten," the 27-year-old Wung said.
