Red Bull Selector made a high-voltage debut at UWI Carnival's 'D' Aftermas' on Saturday, flipping the script on traditional DJ performances and putting the power in the hands of the audience.

This first-of-its-kind showdown fused cutting-edge technology with fierce competition, delivering an electrifying, interactive music experience that kept the crowd in a frenzy.

Unlike any other party on the island, Red Bull Selector gave the audience full control over the night's soundtrack. Armed with red and blue voting tools, fans decided epic genre clashes - soca vs dancehall, old school vs new school - while DJs scrambled to keep up with the crowd's demands.

Every vote triggered a new musical twist, making each moment unpredictable and thrilling.

The night showcased some of the Caribbean's hottest musical talent. Travis World brought the fire with high-energy soca anthems, while Jamaica's dynamic duo, Chromatic, featuring Creep Chromatic and JR Chromatic, delivered a seamless mix of dancehall classics and modern hits. Adding to the excitement, special guest artiste Ayetian surprised fans with a performance of his smash hit 'Balance', turning up the heat even further.

"The vibe in the venue was insane! From the first vote to the last song, you could tell the crowd was locked in the whole way," said Travis World, the internationally recognised DJ and soca producer from Trinidad & Tobago.

"As a DJ, you have to know how to switch things up on the spot, but with Red Bull Selector, it was even more about reading the crowd and delivering in the moment. Seeing how hype the crowd got for each genre just proved this could be the future of live music."

Hosting duties fell to Brush1, 'The Road Marshall', who hyped the crowd and guided them through the night's high-stakes battles.

"What made this event stand out was how involved the crowd was. As DJs, we are used to controlling the vibe, but this time the crowd was running the show," said Creep Chromatic. "It was all about strategy, which made it even more exciting. Jamaica has always been about interactive music, whether in a dancehall session or a soca fete, but Red Bull Selector took it to a whole other level."
