Poets team up for new single

A wind of change is blowing on the local poetry scene as a new generation of dub poets and spoken-word artistes come to the fore.

Two of these poets, Richie Innocent and Wise Wurdz, recently teamed up to record a dub poetry single titled Where Are The Warriors?

Since being aired on local radio three weeks ago, the two said that the project has been doing well.

"The response that this single is getting is amazing! Mama Elise Kelly at IRIE was the first person to play it. Since then, it has taken off like wildfire. It's getting rotation from a host of other top DJs locally, and it's also enjoying rotation in the US, Canada, the UK, Africa, and Europe," said Wise Wurdz.

Where Are The Warriors? will be officially released on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and all other leading platforms on March 25.
