This girl is not giving me a chance
Dear Pastor,
I am 26 years old and I am interested in a young woman who is 19. I am interested in her, but she is not showing me any interest at all.
I would love to take her out, but she says that she does not trust men because men have tried to trick her. I am not in this business of tricking women. I am not perfect. I do not have a girlfriend, and I would love to settle down with this girl, but she is not giving me a chance.
What can I do to prove to her that I am for real? I have never lied to her.
D.B.
Dear D.B.,
A young woman has a right to say no or yes to a man. This young woman with whom you are in love is not prepared to have you as her lover at this time.
So you should not force her at all. Perhaps the day will come when she approaches you because she may feel that you are a decent man and you are the type of man that she would love to have as her lover. But you should not do anything that would force her to love you.
Good men don't have to force women to do anything. This young woman will come around; give her time.
Pastor
