St Andrew businessman shot during attempted robbery

The St Andrew North police have launched an investigation into the shooting of a businessman at his home at Oakland Apartments in St Andrew on Tuesday morning. 

The STAR understands several explosions were heard around 8:45a.m. inside the gated community, followed by shrieks for help. 

“A woman was heard screaming help help. Before that we hear the explosions,” a resident told The STAR. Our news team was told that attempted robbery was the motive.

The businessman was rushed to hospital. His condition at this time is unknown.
